The second week of the Worcester Wednesday 6-a-side football league brought fierce competition amongst the teams across the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3.
In the Premier League, Coral FC emerged victorious against Lucozade Sports with a 3-0 win, while Gangsters Allardyce narrowly secured a victory against Expecting Toulouse, ending the match 3-2. The Nunnery Wood Veterans also clinched a tight win against Leavemyarsealona with a 1-0 scoreline. However, the star of the night was Wednesday Social, who displayed an outstanding performance with a 5-0 triumph over Zoumas Cats.
Over in Division 1, Dream Team fought hard against Mia KhaFifa, securing a 4-2 win. Notinyamoms Forest showed off their prowess with a commanding 8-2 victory over Enter Team Name FC. UP THE ALMA also pulled off a 3-2 win against Paris Ganja Man.
Division 2 showcased a dominant performance from Bert United and AFC Young Boys, both clinching 3-0 and 4-0 victories over Perdiswell Lynx and Sporting Bad Haircuts respectively. Unathlectico Madrid also secured a win against Tolly Bashers with a 2-1 finish.
Meanwhile in Division 3, Bley You Off The Park and Sporting Abeergut had impressive wins over Chewbacca The Net and Moist Cabbage, with massive 7-3 and 7-0 victories respectively. Bench Warmers FC fell against Snorting Lisbon 0-6, while Tupsley FCC triumphed over Severn Wasters with a 7-0 win.
In terms of top scorers, it was an impressive week for players across all divisions, with Wednesday Social, Notinyamoms Forest, Bley You Off The Park, and Sporting Abeergut leading their divisions. The league continues next week as teams look to climb the ranks and secure their place at the top.
