Another fantastic evening of 6 a side football down at the Skyliner Sports Centre as match day 11 was played out in our Bury St Edmunds Tuesday night league. 15 out of the 16 teams were in attendance, sadly Dunk N Donuts failed to appear for their match and have now been removed from the league. Thank you to Cunch O' Bunts for staying on so Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels had a game, much appreciated. This means there is one space available for a new team to enter and start next week.
At the top of the Premier League Dream Team are just one win away from securing the first ever Bury St Edmunds Monday Premier League title. Last night they defeated Built Different 6-0 which puts them 5 points clear with just 3 games to play. Brett Codd hit a hat-trick while Sam Delo, Macauley Delo and Jack Whiting all chipped in with goals. Unathletico Madrid will want to keep on pushing them next week, they also had a relatively comfortable night, winning 5-1 against The Dream Team. Both The Dream Team and Built Different FC look set for a Div 1 campaign now next season. VWL won 6-3 against Show Me The Mane, goals spread throughout the VWL team from Fin Leighton 2, Kian Rogers, Jude Keylock, Luka Gelevski and Reon Huckvale. Isaac Moss was on target 3 times as Cunch O' Bunts beat AC 4-1 to move them up to 4th.
Sunil Chhetri FC had their work cut out as Zara Barbs arrived in town for their meeting. Zara pushed them all the way before eventually going down 3-2. The win keeps Sunil nicely on top of Div 1 with a little bit of breathing space between them and Real Ale Madrid in second. Real Ale had a more straight forward win as they proved to strong for Tuddenham Rangers winning 5-0. Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels stay in touch with the leaders as they picked up a points match win. Finally Stella & Stoney's had an impressive victory over 2 Girls 1 Schlupp 6-0.
Thank you to all our teams and our refs Brian, Paul and Kevin. See you all next week for match day 12. Also just a reminder you need to text your goalscorers into Brian before 10pm please. Thanks
