BURY ST EDMUNDS FOOTBALL LEAGUE KICKS OFF WITH A BANG
The Bury St Edmunds Monday Football League has sparked into action with a series of high-octane matches marking the start of the new season.
Premier League
Snortin Lisbon managed to edge out a narrow victory against Klose But No Cigar with a scoreline of 6-5. NotinyourmumsForest fell to Molewall in a game where the nets rattled 12 times, ending at 8-4 in favour of Molewall. Borussia Bad Boys showed their dominance over Hello You Kante with a decisive 7-2 win. A standout performance was seen from Tyler Jenkins of Snortin Lisbon, who topped the division's score chart with 2 goals.
Division 1
Buhs 1 Ball triumphed over Batty Ballers FC with a 4-1 victory. A similar scoreline was seen when The Salahban defeated Touch Matip 4-1. The most thrilling match-up of the division was between Net-Felix And Chill and Net-six And Chill FC, ending in an 8-6 win for the latter. Sam Wreathall of Net-Felix and Chill emerged as the top scorer in this division with 3 goals.
Division 2
Bulldogs OGs dominated Exeter Gently with an awe-inspiring 9-0 victory. Leavemearsealona FC managed to scrape a 5-3 win against For The Badge, while Queens Park Raisins drew 2-2 with Inter Mivan. Ben Tricker from Bulldogs OGs took the mantle of the top scorer with 3 goals.
The highlight of the week, however, goes to Jamie Dempsey of Division 1's 6 Buhs 1 Ball, who was crowned the most valued player of the week. His phenomenal display on the pitch demonstrated the spirit and finesse that this league stands for.
