I have now returned from holiday so match reports are back. I can see things have started to take shape in both the Prem and Div 1 as match day 5 was played out at our Bury St Edmunds Monday 6 a side league. We had a couple of teams away last night so thank you USAUK who are on the waiting list for coming in at short notice to play and to new team Verve VI for staying on.
Reigning champions Dream Team who have some catching up to do this season produced a fine display to defeat the currently Premier League leaders Unathletico Madrid 2-0. Macauley Delo and Jack Whiting hitting the target for the Champions. The win keeps them third just two points off the top. Sandwiched in between are Cunch O'Bunts who had a points match win with Bech's Ballers unable to attend. Ron and Friends are up to 4th as they also had a points match victory with Blue Ballers away. One goal was enough for new team Charlesberg FC who won 1-0 against AC. They have had to take over at the bottom of the league table but will be looking to claw their way to safety over the next few weeks.
Hello You Kante are the new leaders in Div 1 as they went top on goal difference after a 9-0 victory against Tuddenham Rangers. Haaland and Barrett are still level in second as they won 2-0 against Built Different FC. 2 Girls 1 Schlupp are up to third as a Cameron Clarke hat-trick helped them to a 4-2 win over Still Got It?. Finally new team Verve VI got off to a winning start as they beat The Dream Team 8-3. Captain Dylan Elomri scoring 5 while Liam Watfeh, Elliott Hinton and Noah Clayton also found the back of the net.
Thank you to all our teams and our refs Brian, Paul and Kevin. See you all next week for match day 6. Thanks Rich
