MONDAY NIGHT 6 A SIDE BACK FOR 2023

Our Monday night teams had had to wait what feels like forever to get back to action at Skyliner but finally last night our season resumed with a nearly full line up games. Only Tuddenham were away meaning a points win for Maradonna Kebab in Div 2. The other results in the division went with the form guide as Charlesberg and Mean Machince both enjoyed good wins to start the new year. Division One had some much closer games with Double Pogba coming out on top in their game with Unathletico Madrid while Harry's Helmuts held Candyshop to a well earned 1 - 1 draw. Leaders AC broke ahead of title challengers Struijk My Koch with a crucial 4 - 0 win to put them in the driving seat to end the season with a trophy. 

It all got a bit more interesting in the Prem as neither of the top 2 managed to start the new year with a win. Leaders Ribena came unstuck against Titus Shambles with the 3rd placed side winning 3 - 1 while 2nd placed Snorting Lisbon could only manage a point in their game with SYM. Cracking game this, ending 4 - 4 to give SYM an unexpected 1st point of the campaign. Jewventus did their chances of staying in the division a world of good as they picked up a massive 2 points against relegation rivals Innocent Till Proven Gylfi. They are now level on points with just goal difference separating the teams. 

Great to be back and big thanks to everyone that was there, especially our officials who had another good week. Hopefully 2023 will be a brilliant year for 6 a side at Skyliner, Monday nights are in a strong position with lots of reliable teams enjoying their football, we just have a few places to fill on Tuesdays so if any teams fancy playing twice a week just let me know and we can get you involved in that league too.
