Our Monday night teams were mostly all on show in Bury St Edmunds last night, fresh off the back of England's success in their World Cup opener and ready to go foe week two of our season of 6 a side.
In the prem we had another good win for Ribena who remain top with a 12 - 5 win against Innocent Till Proven Gylfi, Harvey Norman netting 4 for the league leaders. Jewventus grabbed their 1st win with a hattrick each for Max Baldry and Jacob Dinnen helping them to a 7 - 4 win against SYM FC while Snorting Lisbon took a 5 - 0 points win as Titus Shambles were missing the action this week.
In Division One it was a case of score 7 and win the game with all three of our winners netting the same amount of goals. Candyshop made it two in two with a 7 - 4 win against AC thanks to hattricks from Jordan Rolls and Taylor Rolfe while Struijk My Koch also picked up a 2nd win as they got the better of Unathletico Madrid 7 - 1. Double Pogba kicked off their point scoring for the season with a solid 7 - 2 win over Harry's Helmuts thanks in part to a Miles Turner hattrick.
It's a similar looking table in Division Two as Maradonna Kebab and Mean Machine both made it two wins in a row to start the season in style. Kebabs win coming via a points match as The Boys had booked this week off and Mean Machine from a solid 4 - 2 win against Tuddenham Tornados. Charlesberg also picked up a win this week to give them their 1st two points as they got past Son of a Pitches 3 - 2.
Big thanks to all the teams that were there last night, especially the captains on what was a challenging night following the England game at lunch time. Massive thanks also to Brian and his team for reffing and managing the night so smoothly.
We continue with the season next Monday so please be ready and good luck to everyone for that.
