NEW SEASON UNDERWAY IN BURY ST EDMUNDS

We kicked off another brand new season in Bury St Edmunds last night as Skyliner Sports Centre played host to our expanded group of teams for the beginning of what promises to be our biggest Monday Night campaign so far. Having worked hard with the venue to secure the necessary extra pitch space we were able to welcome in all 6 of the teams we had waiting to join the league for the new season. We still have space for a few more so if you have a team (maybe the league you are in has folded) and you want to get involved, now is the time to do so. We have a 2 week break for the Bank Holidays but will return on 15th May and you can be part of the action with your team by simply registering online;

So to this, the 1st week's action. In the Premier League there was a win for defending champions Anne Spank who got past a depleted new team Notinyourmumsforest who had a number of their usual players missing. 11 - 2 the score here to put Anne Spank top. Titus Shambles also won, defeating AC 9 - 2 while Cunch o Bunts return to the league was met with a 7 - 3 defeat at the hands of Chicken Tikka Mo Salah. Candyshop had to miss this week giving Molewall a gifted 2 points to start their Leisure Leagues journey. 

Double Pogba dropped into Division One but look intent on returning to the top flight following a comfortable 10 - 0 win over new side Klopping Cheeks, Jewventus beat Innocent Till Proven Gylfi 3 - 2 while Hello You Kante started the season well with a 3 - 2 win over Unathletico Madrid. Struijk My Kock were too strong on the night for Charlesberg who were missing a number of their title winning team, 4 - 0 the score there. 

Division Two is where we have a few spaces. Harry's Helmuts go top with a 5 - 0 win over Tuddenham Tornados with Maradonna Kebab picking up a 3 - 0 win against Sainsbury's Slappers while Brian Munich got their season up and running with a 3 - 1 win against Son of a Pitches. So a great start the the season and thanks to everyone who was there to take part, big thanks to Brian for all his help in getting the extra pitch space as well as for managing match nights for us, I hope this is the start of a brilliant season for all our teams, as mentioned before we now have a break for 2 weeks but will resume the season on 15th May so please be ready to go for that.
