B TEAM OLD BOYS CHAMPIONS OF BURY ST EDMUNDS

So our Tuesday night 6 a side league season in Bury St Edmunds wrapped up last night with B TEAM OLD BOYS crowned as CHAMPIONS after a brilliant season. They finish a point ahead of No Name despite being defeated by their closest rivals on the final night of the season. The game ended 8 - 7 to No Name who end the season 3 points ahead of We Love A Bag in 3rd. Well done to both of our top two who have both played some great football this season. Former champions We Love A Bag beat Rafa Cakes 4 - 1 to end their season strongly with Rafa remaining just outside the drop zone by a single goal in 4th place. Athletic Bilbarrow very nearly performed a miracle to stay up but their 13 - 2 win against Mum's Hot wasn't quite enough and they join them in heading to Division One.

MH Rovers needed a superior goal difference to take the Division One trophy ahead of The Royal Family having slipped to defeat this week against Leavemyarcelona. Alfie netted a good hattrick but MH Rovers had enough of a lead in the table to hang on and ensure they are crowned as league champions. The Royal Family pushed hard and finished well with a 9 - 5 win against Quaresma Balls, Ryan Gibbs securing the golden boot for the division with 5 more this week. 2 Girls will go down despite a great 8 - 4 win to end the season against Muns Boys who were making their debut this week.

Paris Ganja Man rounded off their title winning season in Division Two with a points match as Gangsters Allardyce weren't there, The champions finish with 18 out of a possible 20 points secured and are definitely ready for the challenge of a higher division. Symonds Army join them in goin up having finished 2nd with 14 points despite a last game defeat to Touch Matip who finish the season 3rd. USAUK had to wait until the final game to register their 1st win of the season, picking up a win against the departing Mourathatplease 3 - 1

The golden boot awards this season go to the following:

Prem - Will Brown of B Team Old Boys with 18

Division One - Ryan Gibbs of Royal Family with 14

Division Two - Josh Harris of Paris Ganja Man with 18

Thank you to all our teams for an excellent season, we are excited to be growing the league for the new season with a number of new teams ready to go from next week. We will stick to 3 divisions with 8 teams now forming part of each one, this means a slightly longer season and more variety of opposition for everyone. Details will come out to captains very soon but please be ready for the restart next week.

Massive thanks to our officials this season, Tony, Brian, Paul, Lee, Chris, Martin who covered most of our games between them. We really couldn't run such a great league for our teams without your amazing efforts and commitment.

Well done to our winners and good luck to everyone for the new season.
