Bury St Edmunds 6 a side end of season round up!

A huge congratulations go to our Premier League and Division 1 winners at our Bury St Edmunds Tuesday night league. Also well done to our runners up and Golden Boot winners!

The Premier League champions Multiple Scoregasms were already confirmed before last night and can be forgiven for letting a few points slip away at the end as they went down 5-3 to Murder On Zidanes Floor who finish as runners up. We can't wait to see what next season has in store. A special shout out to Aiden of Multiple Scoregasms who takes the Golden Boot in the Premier League with 16 goals. Moving on to the bottom of the table where Six Of Spades produced a great performance on the final day to put them in a position to escape the drop after a 3-1 win over No Name. Athletic Bilbarrow needed a win over bottom side Suffolk is Ours to survive and send No Name down however goals from Dave, Alfie and Jack for Suffolk helped them secure a 3-3 draw to take Bilbarrow down with them. Both will be hoping to bounce back at the first attempt!

The title race in Div 1 game down to the final game with Rafa Cakes and Skillet Bang level on points. There are no easy games in this division this season and Skillet Bang found this out as Old'em Pathetic took the points off them with a 3-1 win in the early kick off. This gave Rafa Cakes the chance to clinch the title with just a draw going into their 9pm match against Sheffield Tuesday. Again this wasn't going to be easy against a strong Tuesday side determined to cause an upset. Despite all their efforts Tuesday couldn't quite do Skillet Bang the favour they needed as Rafa Cakes clinched the title with a 2-1 win. In other matches PJ Davis clinched the Golden Boot in Div 1 as he scored the only goal of the game as Havana Balls Up defeated Greengo's 1-0 and finally Thurston rounded off their season with a 5-2 win over My Little Bony.

Thank you to all our teams on another great season at the Skyliner Sports Centre and also a big thank you to our supervisor Tony along with refs Chris, Lee and Paul. We are looking forward to the start of next season next week on the 27th April. There is one space available in the league for a new team to join.
