Bury St Edmunds Tuesday kicked off its six-a-side football league season last night, boasting exciting matches across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2. The energy was palpable as teams took to the pitch, eager to start the season on a high.
In Division 1, Quaresma Balls stormed to victory with a decisive 8-2 win over Mums Hot Sociedad. Their quick and precise passing left their opponents struggling to keep up. A goal fest was seen in the clash between Heath Team and Phil Matip which ended in a thrilling 7-6 win for Phil Matip.
Over in Division 2, the highlight of the evening was Amigos FC's clinical 5-0 victory over Real Madribble. Their solid defence and ruthless attack set the tone for what promises to be an eventful season.
Touch Matip and 2 Girls 1 Schlupp had a tightly contested match, with the game ending in a 2-2 draw against Tea And Busquets. The match was evenly contested with both teams showing great resilience.
While we're still early in the season, it’s clear that competition will be fierce. Teams across the divisions will need to keep their game strong, as the top scorers from each division have already started to set the pace.
