Champions lose in both divisions at Bury St Edmunds 6 a side

It was good to see all teams in attendance at our Bury St Edmunds Tuesday 6 a side league apart from Havana who had to pull out at late notice, however thank you for getting your match fee paid. Big thank you to guest team USAUK for stepping in at very short notice to play in their place so MH Rovers still had a game, much appreciated.

Multiple Scoregasms had already been crowned champions before last nights game but Skillet Bang were determined to finish the season well and close the gap at the top. Andy scored twice along with Bill as Skillet Bang won the game 3-1 to confirm the runners up spot. A1 Trees captain Jack Legg scored but it wasn't enough as they went down 2-1 to third place Six Of Spades who had David and Josh to thank for their goals. Mason Mount Your Mum rose out of the bottom two as they won 2-1 against Obi Wan Kenobi Nil, a win that see's Obi Wan drop into the bottom two. Rafa Cakes and No Name shared the points after a 1-1 draw which keeps Rafa Cakes just a point above the dotted line with a meeting with Obi Wan to come next Tuesday.

Athletic Bilbarrow were so close to taking their 100% record right the way through the season however second place Old'em Pathetic had other ideas as they all but secured promotion themselves with a 2-0 win over Bilbarrow. MH Rovers are in third place and only two points adrift of Old'em after a 4-0 win against Havana/USAUK however Old'em have a far superior goal difference so we are unlikely to see a 23 goal swing even if the results do go Rovers way next week. In other results Greengos defeated Sheffield Tuesday 2-0 while My Little Bony won 1-0 against OP Barbers.
