NEW SEASON OF 6 A SIDE KICKS OFF IN BURY ST EDMUNDS

We launched our brand new season of 6 a side last night in Bury St Edmunds as our 18 team Tuesday Night league kicked off again at Skyliner Sports Centre.

We have a few gaps in this league, one in each division so with only one game played its a brilliant time to jump in at any level and join the fun. Our August Offer of £1 entry ends tomorrow but please get in touch if you have a team looking to get started on a Tuesday night.

The season started with some great games, in the top flight it was Rafa Cakes who took the points from the gap in the division so a 5 - 0 start for them while We Love A Bag set about defending their title again with a tough 5 - 3 win over No Name, while B Team Old Boys had an epic battle with Athletic Bilbarrow that ended in a thrilling 5 - 5 draw to give both teams an early season point. What a game that was and a brilliant start the the Premier League campaign.

Division One was equally competitive with MH Rovers kicking off with a 5 - 4 win over The Royal Family, another great match where a hattrick from last seasons golden boot winner Finn went a long way to securing the win for MH Rovers but again, what a game and well played to both teams. Vervegins won 4 - 3 against Slide Into Your CDM's with Connor Whitehouse on target with 2 for Vervegins while Gangsters Allardyce take the points win and with it the early lead in the division.

Not to be left behind in the great 1st night matches conversation, Division Two opened up with some excellent matches too. Bury Kebab won 8 - 1 against USAUK FC and Mourathatplease took a 5 - 0 points win but the game between Paris Ganja Man and Symonds Army was another classic. A hattrick from Max Falco deserved to get something from the game but unfortunately for him Alex Chapman matched his feat and Paris Ganja Man just edged in 6 - 5.

So an incredible 1st night of the season with well over 50 goals scored, brilliantly managed by Tony and his team of refs, well done to everyone involved. I'm sure it won't be long before the final places are snapped up and we have a full set of teams every week again.

Have a great week guys, good luck with week 2 on Tuesday !
