THE ROYAL FAMILY ARE CHAMPIONS OF BURY ST EDMUNDS

Well what a season of 6 a side for the top sides in our premier league at Skyliner in Bury St Edmunds. Our Tuesday night season wrapped up last night in dramatic style with The Royal Family crowned as our league champions. It has been tight at the top for a while between All Mates Here, We Love A Bag and The Royal Family and with The Bags leading going into match night 14 The Royal Family knew that only a win would be enough to leapfrog past them and snatch the trophy. In a brilliant game that went the distance The Royals just edged it 4 - 3 to  take the crown with We Love A Bag left to wonder what could have been in 3rd place. All Mates here ended a brilliant season for them with a resounding 13 - 4 win over Newy Boys who will play Div One football next term. We welcomed a new side to the division to round off the season. Bishops Boys had a great game with No Name, just falling behind to go down 4 - 3 in the end. Ryan Gibbs' goal, his 17th of the season for Royal Family means he takes home the golden boot for the prem so it's double celebration for the team captain and well done to him, finishing just ahead of Callum Steed who's 5 goals this week were nearly enough to catch Ryan, falling one short with a season total of 16.

Moving up to the top flight after a brilliant campaign are Leavemyarcelona who take the Div One title with 6 points to spare ahead of Symonds Army who will join them in the prem having finished ahead of Athletic Bilbarrow and Paris Ganja Man on goal difference. Mun's Boys and Mum's Hot Sociedad both take the plunge to division Two. Both the promoted sides won last night with Symonds Army comfortably beating Mum's Hot 16 - 1 and Leavemyarcelona taking a 5 - 0 points win because Athletico were missing. Paris Ganja Man also won well in their game with Muns Boys, 7 - 3 the score. Well played to Alex Chapman, Sam Curry, Lewis Turpie and Ziggy for all rounding off the season with good hat-tricks but none have been able to catch Jordan Barber's haul of 23 goals for Leavemyarcelona who picks up the golden boot trophy for Division One.

We had two or three teams in Div Two who had pushed on ahead of the rest and in the end the title was quite comfortable for Quaresma Balls who finish 5 points clear of MH Rovers who were another 3 points ahead of ECS in 3rd. So MH join Quaresma in Division One next season and well played to both sides. Quaresma rounded off their strong season with a 7 - 1 win over USAUK while MH Rovers were held by Drive to a 4 - 4 draw. Touch Matip beat Real Madribble 3 - 1 and ECS edged ahead of Bury Kebab 2 - 1. Valter Rocha leads the way in the scoring charts and he will receive his golden boot for his brilliant tally of 34 goals this season, it will be interesting to see how he and his team fare in the higher league.

This seasons Most Valuable Player award goes to Alex Chapman of Paris Ganja Man having been awarded 4 player of the match awards. Remember only players that have registered as a player for your team can be in with a chance of winning player of the match so get all your team registered and assigned to your squad for the new season and maybe you can be winning the trophy next time round.
