Just one week to go in this entertaining season of 6 a side football being played out at the Skyliner Sports Centre in Bury St Edmunds.
Prem leaders Rafa Cakes missed the chance to wrap up the title last night as they came unstuck against No Name. Luis netted a hattrick in the 4 - 2 win for the mid table side and it means Rafa Cakes need a positive result in the final game to confirm their place as champions. Snapping at their heels and ready to jump in if they slip up are Old'em Pathetic who picked up a points win last night and sit just a point behind the leaders. Tugas and Athletic Bilbarrow also left with the points following their games, Tugas will be looking to do enough to stay up next week but Athletic are guaranteed 3rd place now.
The Division One title will go to the wire with OP Barbers dropping a point in an entertaining 4 - 4 draw with USAUK FC, Danny on target with 3 for The Barbers who now share the lead with Gangsters Allardyce who they play next week in a title deciding fixture that won't be one to miss! The Gangsters won well this week putting 5 past Girls 1 Schlupp 2 who could only manage one themselves to sit 4th in the table. My Little Bony had a good night against MH Rovers, coming away with the points following a 4 - 1 win while Real Ale Madrid had a points win but look destined to finish bottom this season.
Many thanks to Tony and his team on the ground, just a quick update on Oli from OB Barbers who had a nasty knee injury last week, Oli is doing well and has had a couple of MRI scans to determine the amount of ligament damage, the results will determine whether he requires surgery as part of his recovery. We all wish him well and hope to see him back playing football soon.
