We wrapped up another great season of 6 a side at Skyliner last night as our Bury St Edmunds Tuesday night league season ended with a familiar name at the top of the Premier League table. Congrats again to We Love A Bag of retaining their title some 7 points clear of B Team Old Boys in 2nd place. The Bags dropped just one point all season and rounded things off nicely last night with a 6 - 2 win over Rafa Cakes, Jake netting another 5 goals in the process. B Team Old Boys had a good season since joining and finish a strong 2nd after a final game win over MH Rovers who will join The Royal Family in Division One next season. Despite finishing bottom, Royal Family signed off their Prem existence with a good point in an entertaining 3 - 3 draw with 3rd placed Athletic Bilbarrow. I'm sure they will be looking to bounce back quickly.
The Division One trophy goes to No Name this season who edge it only on goal difference from Gangsters Allardyce following a strong season from both teams. They go up with 14 points each, 2 clear of Slide into your CDM's who were defeated 6 - 1 by the champions in our final round of games. Paris Ganja Man picked up 2 points courtesy of a points match to conclude their campaign.
Finn Rochford picks up another golden boot for his 14 goals for MH Rovers in the prem while Jordan Barber of Gangsters Allardyce bags the Div One award for his 13 goals, well done to both of you for consistently finding the net for your teams.
We look ahead now to the new season and surprisingly for this venue we have a few spaces to fill, we are still running our August offer of a £1 registration and free 1st game so if you are looking to enter a new team now is a great time to do so before the Autumn rush. It's a new season too so literally couldn't be a better time to jump on board.

Massive thanks to Tony and his team at Skyliner this season, the refs here do a fantastic job and we are always very grateful for their efforts, also a huge thank you to the team captains who have done a great job keeping their teams together during this long hot summer, we are hopefully now getting to the end of it and as we hit September we should find that players are more available to play making everyone's job a bit easier.
Well done again to our league winners and good luck in the new season.
