In the world of 6-a-side football, the Alfreton Monday league's week 7 action was nothing short of spectacular. From nail-biting finishes to stunning offensive displays, the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 all offered their fair share of thrills.
In the Premier League, Narn United led the charge with an impressive 8-4 victory over ADASC Panthers, setting the pace for the competition. Largentina, Jimmys, and Station Vets also recorded wins, with Station Vets edging out Crystal Bar Palace 5-4 in one of the closest matches of the night.
Division 1 saw its own share of drama. FC Farcelona and Beating Chastards battled to a 2-2 draw, while FC Blush eked out a 4-3 win over FC Twente Pints. Bull And Butchers FC secured a solid 1-0 victory against For Fuchs Sake, and Robben You Blind showed their offensive prowess with a 6-2 win over Bilkhu Originals.
Meanwhile, Division 2 witnessed an offensive onslaught from AFC Carling, who trounced Madiline Milan 8-2. Rizzers In Paris also put on a strong showing, defeating Green Team Blues 4-2. Full Kit Bankers and The Steampacket also recorded victories, with the former securing a 3-0 win against Stroke Titty FC.
Unfortunately, this weeks football was dampened by abuse given from teams towards the referees. It seems it has become more apparent from multiple teams in the last week and this is unacceptable. Any behaviour like this will result in team fines, ban and ultimately dismissal from the league. Our referee take time out of their day to ensure players can enjoy the sports without the risk of injuries, they should be respected at all times.
As we look forward to the next week of competition, it's clear that the Alfreton Monday league continues to offer exhilarating football action, with every team giving their all on the pitch.
