The much-anticipated first week of the Paignton Wednesday 6-a-side Football League, specifically the Premier League division, was full of high-octane action and thrilling gameplay. The fans were not left disappointed as teams battled it out on the pitch, marking the beginning of a promising new season.
The night witnessed several closely contested matches. In one of the day's most exciting games, Vybz Kartel narrowly lost to Bastows Big Bazooka FC with a scoreline of 2-1. Unathletico Madrid made a strong statement with a resounding 6-1 victory against Ctrl Alt De Ligt, while TATES ANGELS and Hardly Athletic locked horns in a goal fest that ended in a 6-4 win for the latter.
Meanwhile, an edgy encounter saw Haven't Jota Clue edge out Robbies Angels 4-3, and Men Behaving Chadli demonstrated their prowess with a 5-1 triumph over Net Six And Chill.
On the individual front, Addicted Adam Townsend from Unathletico Madrid stole the limelight as the top scorer for the week in the Premier League division, netting an impressive four goals. His performance was not to be overshadowed; however, the most valued player for the week was Adam Pontin King from Haven't Jota Clue, who put on a masterclass in football.
We would like too thank Jamie, and to his refs Marc and Connor.
