Paignton Wednesday 6 a side news - match day 5

In the pulsating world of Paignton Wednesday's 6 a side football league, the drama reached new heights as week 5 unfolded under the floodlights. The Premier League served up an intoxicating blend of skill, teamwork, and sheer determination.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In a thrilling encounter, Only Put Matip In were humbled in the end by Bastows Big Bazooka FC, with the scoreboard reading 2-4 in favour of the latter. Despite their best efforts, Only Put Matip In could not match the firepower of Big Bazooka FC who demonstrated their superiority on the pitch.

The league also witnessed a high-scoring clash between Net Six And Chill and TATES ANGELS, with TATES ANGELS emerging victorious in a 7-5 goal-fest. The Angels' attack line proved to be too strong for Net Six, who, despite scoring five goals, could not hold off the surging Angels.

Haven't Jota Clue overpowered Churston Yutes in a 7-2 victory. In a display of incredible attacking prowess, Haven't Jota Clue seized control of the game early and never let up.

The match between East Street FC and Ctrl Alt De Ligt ended in a 4-4 draw, with both teams demonstrating exceptional attacking skills and indomitable spirit.

The standout player of the week was undoubtedly Alfie Greatorex, who took home the honour of Top Scorer in the Premier League. Representing TATES ANGELS, Greatorex was in scintillating form, netting a total of 3 goals. His superb performances also earned him the accolade of Most Valued Player of the week, a testament to his impact on TATES ANGELS' success.

As we look forward to the next week's fixtures, the teams will be hoping to build on their performances, with Alfie Greatorex setting the benchmark for individual brilliance.

A big thank you to Jamie for running the evening and to all our refs and players. Good luck next week.
