Thursday 11th April - Worcester Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Worcester Thursday 5 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for the opening night of the new season at St Johns.

The night started with a fiery encounter between WR2 GALACTICOS and BJH MOTORS, with the GALACTICOS asserting their dominance in a staggering 11-2 victory. The star of the match was undoubtedly JOE from the WR2 GALACTICOS, who unerringly found the back of the net six times, setting a high benchmark for other players in Premier League division.

The excitement continued as Top Boys clashed with Charvas Yanited in a high scoring match. Top Boys emerged victorious with a 6-4 win, displaying skill and resilience.

In a match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats, WU Gaffa Cakes managed to edge out Nuns United in a closely fought 3-2 encounter.

The final match of the night saw The Goal Diggers go head to head with Purge FC. Despite a brave effort from The Goal Diggers, Purge FC secured a 4-2 victory, concluding an exhilarating opening night of the season.
