Thursday 23rd February - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester St Johns Thursday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled across all the division, to kick off a brand new campaign.

We welcomed two new teams to the action for this season, both came up against each other and it was Ayew My Dad FC who came out 4-1 winners over fellow new boys 2 Left Feet.

Cunny Funts have looked like serious contenders since joining, and set their stall out for the new campaign, romping their way to an 8-0 win over WAS this week.

The top two last season met on the first week of the new season, and it was champions DGFC who were victorious as they edged past Tiny Todgers by 3 goals to 2 in a thrilling encounter.

Elsewhere BJH Motors put a cat amongst the pigeons as they beat another side billed as title contenders this time out, thrashing WR2 Galacticos by 6 goals to 2.
