Chippenham Monday 6 a side news | WEEK 1

The Chippenham Monday six-a-side Football League opened with a bang last night marking the beginning of the new season with some high-energy matches and thrilling performances in both Premier League and Division 1.

PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League division, Dem Blasters and HP FC had a riveting match that ended in a draw, with both teams scoring two goals. In another striking match-up, Kingfisher FC emerged victorious against DIET FC, thanks to an outstanding performance by Adam Loveridge, who notched up four goals, making him the top scorer of the week in the Premier League.

Inter Ur Nan and Birds Marsh Rangers, however, ended their match in a 2-2 stalemate. The spotlight, however, was on Birds Marsh Rangers' Alex Brownrigg who was declared the most valued player of the week. His performance was a major contribution to the outcome of the match.

DIVISION ONE

Over in Division 1, Melts United and Peroulis FC emerged victorious in their respective matches. Melts United beat MRG Legends 5-3, with Jamie Heaton of Melts United becoming the division's top scorer with his two goals. Peroulis FC, on the other hand, had a dominant 6-0 victory over The Fatty Jihadi, making a strong statement for the season ahead.

The Janitors FC and Linton FC match saw Linton FC as the winners, with a commanding scoreline of 4 to 1.
