Chippenham Monday 6 a side news | WEEK 8

In the heart of the sports action last night, the Chippenham Monday League saw thrilling performances in its 8th week of the season, lighting up the pitch in both the Premier League and Division 1.

PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, HP FC secured a 2-0 victory against Peroulis FC, while Dem Blasters narrowly won 1-0 against Kingfisher FC. The top scorer for the Premier League, Sam Mcfarlane, showcased his exceptional skill, scoring his sole and decisive goal for Dem Blasters, and further propelling the team to a triumphant finish.

DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the matches were notably high scoring. MRG Legends dominated the field with an impressive 9-0 victory against The Fatty Jihadi. Birds Marsh Rangers faced a close defeat by Linton FC with a 3-4 scoreline, while Melts United and Inter Ur Nan battled to a 2-2 draw. Triumphant in both scoring and performance, Storm Brand from MRG Legends scored a whopping total of 3 goals, securing his spot as the top scorer of Division 1.

Storm Brand's remarkable performance didn't stop at being the top scorer. His prowess on the field led him to be crowned the most valued player of the week, reflecting the exceptional talent that MRG Legends bring to the table.

With only two weeks left in the season, the stakes have never been higher. Teams are now making their final push to secure their place for the next season, and if the performances so far are anything to go by, we can anticipate an exhilarating conclusion to the Chippenham Monday League.

The football fever is alive and well as the Chippenham Monday League continues to deliver top tier competition and entertainment. But one thing is certain, Storm Brand and Sam Mcfarlane have set a high bar for the rest of the league's players.

Thank you to the referees for managing a really smooth evening of football!
