STOURBRIDGE OVER 35s MON 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 5TH SEPT

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football with all teams in attendance and accounted for. 

Unfortunately in unprecedented circumstances the heavens opened at 9pm and washed out the two games at 9pm and 9:30pm with lightning and thunder nearby. The two games have therefore been postponed where one game will be played on the 12/9/22 and the second 19/9/22. As for now they will show up as 0-0 draws on the website until the game takes place. Any questions on this then please do not hesitate to contact your Area Manager.

In more positive news, game of the night in the Premier League this week goes to the game between 'Boca Seniors' and 'Palmsy Rangers'. In a hotly contested game that saw lots of chances throughout and a game played at a very high tempo it was the experience of 'Boca Seniors' that were able to come out 2-1 winners in the end. Up to second and full of confidence going into a game against 'Enville Athletic Veterans', who will come out on top?

Division One game of the night was a high quality goalless draw between 'Not Quite Passed It' and 'Del Bosque FC'. Two promotion chasing teams played out a game of many chances and the woodwork being hit on numerous occasions. With three points separating all teams in Division One it will be interesting to see who comes out on top as we head into the second half of the season.

Team of the week for this week, with there performance above was 'Boca Seniors'. As the weeks go on they really do become a stronger team. With half of the season still to go they will be looking to catch the team top of the league and be crowned this seasons champions.
