GREAT FESTIVE PERIOD GAMES IN BRIERLEY HILL!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Brierley Hill Monday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for. Unfortunately we did have one disciplinary issue in the game between 'Helen Jones FC' vs 'That Peter Crouch Team'. Jack James from 'Helen Jones FC' was sent from the field for some abusive language towards the referee, he has been fined £10 because of this. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.

Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to 'Inter Mi'Bathams' VS 'Man Chest Hair United'. Both teams know each other well now as they have played each other a number of times and it showed with how close and tight the affair was. 'Inter Mi'Bathams' came away with the 3-2 win and with it climb up to fourth and above there opponents on the night.

The game of the night in Division One was between 'Pass It To The Left' and 'Gary Neville Is A Legend'. A top quality game that could have gone either way but a point a piece for a brilliant 2-2 draw. As the season goes on it will be interesting to see how both teams shape up in the season to come as with this game there is a possibility the may be fighting for the promotion places.

Team of the week for this week are 'We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC'. After a struggling eason last season they have bounced back and have started well to start this. They go into the Christmas break in a promotion place but still a long way to go in the season.

The league is now off for the Christmas and new year periods and will resume again on Monday 6th January 2020. We would like to wish teams and there families a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all for the first game back in the new year.
