NEW SEASON UNDERWAY IN BRIERLEY HILL!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football to start the season in the Brierley Hill Monday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for. We also welcomed new team 'Cali Cartel FC' to the league and although lost on there first night showed great promise for the chances moving forward. The league would like to wish them all the best moving forward as the new season gets underway.

Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes 'Borrussia MunchYourDadsSack' VS 'Peter Beardsley'. Both teams won there respective divisions last season and start this one with a very close and tight affair to start the season. With there 1-1 draw it will be interesting to see where both teams end up as performances like this will mean both teams will be challenging for the Premier Division title this season.

The game of the night in Division One was between 'Who Ate All Depays' and 'Inter Mi'Bathams'. Yes the scoreline suggests a one sided affair but 'Who Ate All Depays' were in the game throughout and really showed great improvements on there first couple of games in the league. As the season goes on it will be interesting to see how both teams shape up in the season to come.

Team of the week for this week is 'Puyol Pants Down'. A very good team that have finished runners up in both of the first two seasons showed real intent in there first game this season. They ran out 9-0 winners and will sit top over the Christmas period. Can they go one better this season?

As mentioned above the league is now off for the Christmas and new year periods and will resume again on Monday 7th January 2018. We would like to wish teams and there families a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all for the first game back in the new year.
