SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON STARTS WITH A BANG!!!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Brierley Hill Monday League with all teams in attendance as usual. Unfortunately we did have a disciplinary issue in the game between 'Crumptons Firm' vs 'AC McCann' first game on. Tom Wiley from 'Crumptons Firm' received a red card for bring abusive towards the referee which means he received a £10 fine. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.

On more positive news, we welcomed new team 'Real Madras' to the league and they put up a good showing in there first game against the Premier Division league leaders 'That Peter Crouch Team'. Good luck to the new team moving forward and wish them all the best in there games during the second half of the season.

Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Man Chest Hair United' and 'Dudley Warriors'. A hard fought and high scoring game that was brilliant to watch as last seasons champions got back to winning ways with a 4-3 win. With 3 points separating 3rd all the way down to 7th it will be interesting to see how the league plays out during the second half of the season.

The game of the night in Division One was between 'We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC' and 'Baloteletubbies'. Who played out a cracker of a 2-2 draw during the third games of the night. They may be the bottom two but if either could go on a run during the second half of the season it will be interesting to see where either end up.

Team of the week has to be 'Crep City FC' with their brilliant victory against '6 Berks And A Turk' 2-0. The 3rd placed team in Division One are now 2 points off the top two and face 2nd placed 'Crumptons Firm' next week, who will come out on top of this crunch match?
