STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 11TH JULY 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football with all teams in attendance and accounted for. 

It was also great to welcome new team 'Gylfi As Charged' who put in a good performance to start there time in the league. We wish them all the best in the NEW DIVISION when it starts this coming Monday!

First of all, we pay a visit to the Premier League where we had a full set of entertaining action. Our game of the evening saw 'BBF United' pick up a second victory of the season as they beat opponents and good friends 'Football Club FC' 3-1 in a game which challenged both teams right till the final whistle. In the end, it was a great overall team performance from 'BBF United' which secured their win.

Secondly, we visit Division 1 where there is yet again a bunch of exciting games. However, we can only pick one game of the evening which is another 3-1 victory, this time in the favor of 'Dynamo Greyhound PFC' against 'Bayern Neverlosen' which brings them into second place with 3 wins out of 4 games this season. Can they keep this form going into a game against 'Call The Cops FC' next week?

Finally, we head to Division 2 where the game of the evening was a 1-0 victory for 'West Midlands United F.C.' over 'Let The Game McGinn' in an extremely close game of football which was swayed towards 'West Midlands United F.C.' thanks to a goal from Tom Stonelake. Up to second place now they will be looking for a promotion push this season, next up 'Pique Blinders'.

Team of the week for this week is 'Roebuck FC', four wins out of four puts them top of Division 1 going into the fifth week of the season. It was a 6-2 win that they got this week and are looking good for the season ahead. Can they keep the run going when they face 'Hardly Athletic FC' this week?

We are delighted to announce that next week a BRAND NEW DIVISION THREE starts so welcome the new teams and good luck to all teams next week! This also does mean that there will be 9pm games played at the venue so be ready for that in the weeks to come.
