STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 12TH DECEMBER

All the latest news from the Stourbridge 6-a-side Monday league is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League.

Unfortunately, we did have a few teams unable to fulfil their fixture as they were not able to get a team together. We have been in contact with all teams, and they have confirmed there return for the next set of fixtures. It is paramount all teams are trying their best to fulfil their fixture each and every week and if this is not possible are communicating with the Area Manager as curtesy to their opponents.

Premier Division game of the night goes to the game between 'BBF United' and 'PS Geezas'. Two very similar and strong sides going head-to-head but the points were shared in the end in a very competitive 3-3 draw as 'BBF United' fought back in the second half to take the draw. Both teams will be looking to go on a run of wins in the remaining games in order to finish as high as they can come the end of the season.

Division One game of the night was between 'Bayen Neverlosen' and 'Stourbridge Olympic'. It was a great game of 6-aside football with two teams fighting hard for the win, 6 goals between the two teams but it was 'Bayern Neverlosen' who were more clinical and got the win and sit third as we go into the final week before the Christmas break. Four teams separated by two points going into the final four games of the season means there is all to play for in Division One. On a side note, as both 'Inter Mi'Bathams' and 'Yourmomszahore' were not present on the night and were due to face each other this game goes down as a no result and therefore for the remainder of the season both teams have one point less in the league table than it states due to the website not having the functionality to show this as it stands.

The game of the night in Division Two was the game between 'Still Trying FC' and 'Gylfi as Charged'. In a fast paced and exciting game that saw eight goals and goal mouth action throughout it was 'Still Trying FC' who were able to come away with the 5-3 win in the end. After a slow start 'Still Trying FC' are starting to settle into the league and grow in confidence, can they go into the Christmas break full of confidence with another win over 'West Midlands United F.C.' next week?

'West Midlands United F.C.' are our team of the week. A dominant display has helped them climb into the top two in Division Two with four weeks to go. One point clear of third they will be looking for promotion as they look to continue their fine form in the weeks to come.
