A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League with all teams in attendance as expected.
Premier Division game of the night goes to the game between 'Inter Mi'Bathams' and 'Redz On Stedz'. Two very similar and strong sides going head to head but it was second placed 'Redz On Stedz' who came out on top 4-2 winners in the end. Now two points clear of third with two games to go they will be looking to finish strong and clinch second place. Congratulations 'Celta Allstars' who have been crowned champions of the Premier League with two games to go!
Division One game of the night was between 'Call The Cops FC' and 'Bayern Neverlosen'. It was a great game of 6-aside football with two teams fighting hard for the win, 5 goals between the two teams but it was 'Bayern Neverlosen' who got the 3-2 win and sit third as we go into the final two games. In a tight race for third place who will come out on top come the end of the season?
The game of the night in Division Two was the game between 'West Midlands United F.C.' and league leaders 'Dynamo B.C.'. In a very even contest 'Dynamo B.C' were looking to claim promotion and the championship in style but 'West Midlands United F.C.' fought hard and earned a 2-2 draw in the end. This result still confirms 'Dynamo B.C.' as champions and promoted to Division One so well done to them! The race for second could not be closer though as two points separate 2nd to 6th, who will be going up with 'Dynamo B.C.'?
Division Three game of the night saw seven goals as 'Yourmomszahore' beat 'AFC Audnam' 4-3. In a night where all teams played two games following the weather the week before a lot of action unfolded and some great games were played throughout. With two weeks to go it is between two teams for the title, who will come out on top?
For there performance above 'Redz On Stedz' are our team of the week. A dominant display has helped them be in prime position for a top two finish this season. Two points clear of third they will be looking for a runners up finish as they look to continue there fine form in the weeks to come.
