STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 20TH FEBRUARY

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side league with all teams in attendance as expected.

Unfortunately we did have some disciplinary issues on the night in the games between 'Hickory's Allstars' and 'Dynamo B.C.' and also the game between 'Baz Ball FC' and 'Bugle FC'. A 'Hickory's Allstars' was sent from the field of play for violent conduct and 'Baz Ball FC' had a player sent off for abuse towards the referee both actions have been met with a £20 fine and permanent ban for the individuals in question. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.

In more positive news, some cracking games in the Premier League as all were close fixtures but game of the evening saw 'Unprotected Cesc' pick up a victory over 'Inter Mi'Bathams' 3-2 in a game which challenged both teams right until the final whistle. 5 goals and end to end action made for a great night of action in this game. Up to 4th and only off the top two by goal difference can they break into the top two when they face league leaders 'Celta Allstars' next week?

Division One game of the evening was a five-goal thriller to finish the night between 'Bayern Neverlosen' and 'Pique Blinders'. Two closely matched teams that played at a high intensity throughout but it was 'Bayern Neverlosen' who came out as 3-2 winners in the end. Can 'Pique Blinders' get there revenge when the two teams meet again later in the season?

Division Two game of the evening was a 2-1 victory for 'Cott Lane Colts' over 'Gylfi as Charged'. A very close game but it was 'Cott Lane Colts's clinical finishing that they have sown to start the season that won the game in the end. One of two teams to win four out of four games over the whole division to start the season, are they the ones to watch for the season ahead?

Team of the week for this week are 'Let the Game McGinn', four wins out of four puts them top of Division Two going into the fifth week of the season. Can they keep the run going when they face 'Stourbridge Olympic' this week?
