A fantastic night of 6-a-side football with all teams in attendance and accounted for. It was also great to welcome new team 'Unprotected Cesc', who put in a very strong performance in there first game at the league. Good luck to them in the coming weeks as the NEW DIVISION draws near!
Some great games in the Premier Division but game of the night this week goes to the game between 'Football Club FC' and 'MC Dons'. In a hotly contested game that saw lots of chances throughout and a game played at a very high tempo that in the end was fairly drawn 2-2 but left both teams feeling they could have got more. We are only in the early stages of the season but this Division is looking very tight for the season ahead.
A few games stand out in Division One but it was the fantastic final game between 'Roebuck FC' and 'PS Geezas' that was game of the night. Two very evenly matched teams that played out a great game but it was 'Roebuck FC' who came out on top in a 2-1 win. With how tight this game was it will be interesting to see how these two teams end up and how the game finishes when the two teams meet again later in the season.
The game of the night in Division Two was the game between 'Beercelona' and 'Pique Blinders'. Two similarly able teams that served up a thriller but in the end the points were shared in a 2-2 draw. As the weeks go on both teams will be looking to climb the table and chase the two promotion spots.
Team of the week for this week has to be Division Two league leaders 'Dynamo B.C.'. A very impressive win against 'Let The Game McGinn' means they have a 100% record going into week three of the season. Next up they face 'Pique Blinders', can they keep the run going?
