STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 27TH FEBRUARY

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football saw all teams in attendance and some great games played throughout the evening.

The Premier League game of the night this was the game between last season's Division One winners 'Call the Cops FC' and 'BBF United'. Two evenly matched teams that ran each other very close but it was 'Call the Cops FC' who were able to come out on top with the 2-1 win in the end. Out of the top two on goal difference can 'Call the Cops FC' keep this form going as the halfway stage draws near.

Division One had some excellent games throughout the evening but game of the night this week was superb as league leaders 'Bugle FC' dropped there first point of the season in a 2-2 draw with  'Woodalls FC'. A great result in a very tight looking league for the season ahead. It will be interesting to see if the two teams can be separated when the two teams meet again later in the season.

Division Two game of the night was the nine goal thriller between 'Hickory's Allstars' and 'We Don't Give a Flying Duck FC'. In a back-and-forth battle that could have gone either way it was 'Hickory's Allstars' who were able to come out on top 5-4 in the end. Having played each other a few times now it will be interesting to see if 'We Don't Give a Flying Duck FC' can get their own back later in the season.

The team of the week this week are 'Redz on Stedz' as they came out with a win in another highlight game as 16 goals were scored in a 10 -6 victory over 'Inter Mi'Bathams', sitting second in the Premier League after losing for the first time last week as they look to defend their title  they are feeling confident again going into next weeks games. Next week will be a 1st vs 2nd clash against 'Celta Allstars' as the last two seasons champions face off, who will come out on top?
