A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League.
Unfortunately we did have one team unable to fulfil their fixture as 'SH Dons' were not able to get a team together. We will be in contact with the team in the coming days to confirm there return for future. It is paramount all teams are trying there best to fulfil there fixture each and every week and if this is not possible are communicating with the Area Manager as curtesy to there opponents.
In more positive news, Premier Division game of the night goes to the game between 'Chip Butty FC' and 'Redz On Stedz'. Two very similar and strong sides going head to head but it was 'Chip Butty FC' who came out 1-0 winners and are now one result away from back to back titles. Top on goal difference they will be looking to seal the deal next week.
Division One game of the night was between 'Dynamo B.C.' and 'Park Tavern FC'. It was a great game of 6-aside football with two teams fighting hard for the win, 11 goals between the two teams but it was 'Park Tavern FC' who go into the final week top of league and one result away from the title and promotion to the Premier Division. Two points splits the top four going into the final games of the season, who will finish as the top two?
The game of the night in Division Two was the game between 'Cott Lane Colts' and 'West Midlands United F.C'. Two similarly able teams that served up a cracker, four goals and end to end action but it was 'West Midlands United F.C.' who were able to come away with the win, 3-1. A full house of final day tension as three teams go for the title in Division Two, who will come out on top?
'PS Geezas' are our team of the week. A dominant display has helped them climb into the top two in Division Two for the finals games of the season to play. They play first next week with there other two rivals playing each other so it will be interesting to see which team comes out on top. Good luck all in the final games of the season!
