The much-anticipated new season of the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side Football League kicked off last night, witnessing riveting performances from both seasoned and emerging players. Unfortunately we did have one attendance in PSGeezas. We have been in contact with the team to ensure their return for next week.
In the Premier League, BBF United made a remarkable debut with a striking 6-1 victory against Stourbridge Olympic. The team's promising player, Jack Small emerged as the top scorer, netting three goals for his team. Despite a tough competition, AFC Vexham secured a win against Unprotected Cesc scoring 1-0, while Haaland Globetrotters claimed a 2-1 victory over VI Inches Combined.
In Division 1, the match between Wheres Your Man FC and Bayern Neverlosen ended in a 3-3 draw, while West Midlands United F.C. bagged an impressive 6-4 win against Baz Ball FC. Piqué Blinders' Henry stood out with two goals, earning him the top scorer position in this division.
The games were equally thrilling in Division 2 with This Is Plough We Do It clinching a 6-4 victory against Hickorys Allstars. Harry Totney, the team's star player and the league's most valued player of the week, scored a hat trick, propelling his team to victory. Slumdog Mingolet also secured a win with a 4-1 score against Hwang Onasec.
In Division 3, Athletic Dildao and Genoa Side emerged victorious in their respective matches, scoring 4-1 and 6-2. Rob, the striker for Athletic Dildao, scored three goals, making him the top scorer for this division.
As the season has just started, teams are already gearing up for the next round of matches as they vie for the championship. With a week filled with thrilling matches and spectacular performances, this season promises to be an exciting journey for the teams and the spectators alike.
