Thrilling Week 5 of Stourbridge Monday 6 A-Side Football League Concludes
Stourbridge Monday Football League, a high-intensity 6 a side league, wrapped up its dramatic week five fixtures last night. In a series of gripping matches, teams across the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 divisions battled it out.
In the Premier League, AFC Vexham dominated the field by trouncing PSGeezas 5-1, while Stourbridge Olympic edged out Haaland Globetrotters in a tightly contested match, ending 3-2. Unprotected Cesc secured their victory over VI Inches Combined with a 2-0 triumph, and Celta Allstars outpaced third place BBF United 3-1 to remain top of the league with nine points. Next week they face Unprotected Cesc who currently sit fourth which could lead to and interesting game.
Over in Division 1, Bayern Neverlosen outran Growler Out FC with a 3-1 scoreline, while Wheres Your Man FC gained a convincing win over Inter Mi’Bathams 6-1. Baz Ball FC also clinched a victory over Cott Lane Colts by 3-1. Next week, Baz Ball FC take on Bayern Neverlosen. With Bayern Neverlosen hoping to keep their promotion space.
In Division 2, Talbot 6 won against Hickorys Allstars with a score of 4-2, while Big Stiff Chip Butty secured their win over Slumdog Mingolet with a clean sheet of 3-0. This is Plough We Do It managed to outdo Let The Game McGinn 4-2, and LABEL FC squeezed out a win against Hwang Onasec 2-1. Providing the composure needed LABEL FC will have to continue this form as they take on This Is Plough We Do It next week!
In Division 3, Still Trying FC and Athletic Dildao ended their match in a 1-1 draw, while Spignif Allstars managed a narrow victory over Waggon Wonderers 2-1. Genoa Side overwhelmed We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC with a 7-0 victory, and Gylfi Pleasures managed to keep a clean sheet against Gylfi As Charged, winning 2-0. Spignif Allstars showed a mature display after their 2-1 victory and take on 5th placed rivals Still Trying FC.
The highlight team of the week was Wheres Your Man FC with a significant victory on the night and move onto the challenge of Cott Lane Colts next week. We eagerly look forward to what lies ahead in the Stourbridge Monday Football League.
