THE COMPETITION IS HOTTING UP IN THE BRIERLEY HILL LEAGUE!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Brierley Hill Monday League. The only team missing were 'Tom Gs Under 3s' who gave the required 7 days notice to miss their fixture and will be back next week. We look forward to having them back and wish them the best of luck in their fixture. 

Unfortunately we did have two disciplinary issues on the night. First, in the game between 'Cali Cartel FC' vs 'Who Ate All Depays'. Jordan Guy from 'Cali Cartel FC' was red carded attempting to physically abuse an opponent on the field of play and has been issued with a £50 and has been permanently banned from the league moving forward. Second, in the game between 'Inter Mi'Bathams' and 'Lets Get Messi', Rhys Smith from 'Lets Get Messi' was sent off for foul and abusive language towards the referee, he has been fined £20 for this offence. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.

On more positive news, game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Baloteletubbies' VS '6 Berks And A Turk'. Two teams working hard throughout to get the win but ending up sharing the spoils 1-1, which was probably a fair result. This is 'Baloteletubbies' first point and it will be interesting to see if they can push on from here.

Barring the incident in question, the game of the night in Division One was between 'Who Ate All Depays' and 'Cali Cartel FC'. Two teams that were closely matched and showed they can get plenty of points in the league this season to push themselves further up the table. A draw was a fair result and it will be interesting to see how the teams do in the coming weeks.

Team of the week for this week is 'Borrusia MunchYourDadSack'. Following an early loss they have now won two on the bounce to climb to second in the table in the Premier Division, it will be interesting to see if they can push for top spot in the weeks to come. Next up is a top of the table clash with 'Puyol Pants Down', can they close the gap to 1 point?

Please be aware that only one man of the match was handed out from the games tonight due to players not having player cards. In order to do this team captains must go on their team page on the website and send emails to there teammates who will request to join the team. Player cards are the only way in which you can be awarded player of the season so please ensure you are doing this in order to have a chance of being player of the season.
