FANTASTIC FIRST NIGHT OF THE SEASON!

A fantastic start to the Stourbridge 6-a-side Sunday League on a very competitive first night of the season, it will be interesting to see how all teams get on in the season ahead of you.

We did have one team not there on the first night as 'Queens Shark Rangers' had already given the 7 days notice required for the game due to the there commitments in the Wolverhampton Cup. They have already confirmed they will be back this week and the league looks forward to seeing how they get on.

Game of the night this week goes to the game between 'This Is Plough We Do It' and 'AFC Audnam'. A great way to kick off a new eague with two evenly matched teams facing off and it was 'This Is Plough We Do It' coming out on top 2-1 winners. It will be interesting to see how both teams fair as the season goes into week two.

Team of the week for this week is 'CG'. a great 3-0 win to start life in the league and we look forward to seeing if they can make a push for the first ever title in the Sunday league. Next up 'Real Stewponies', both teams won in the first week so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

As a side note the centre have made me aware that some teams entered the facility before the gates were open to the car park and any staff were there. Please ensure that if you are on at 7pm that you wait for centre staff to open the car park in order to keep everyone who uses the facility safe, you will still have plenty of time to get ready but as we hire the facility from 7-8pm it is important that we are not there to early otherwise the league may be charged more for this.
