The first week of Stourbridge Sunday, a 6-a-side football league, was full of thrilling competition and impressive performance. The new season began last night with teams from the Premier League and Division 1 divisions showcasing their skills.

Unfortunately, we did have one non-attendance on the night as Therapists were not present for there fixture. As this team has not shown up for the second consecutive week they have now been removed from the league. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.

In the Premier League, Withy Regens made an outstanding start, overwhelming Stourbridge Olympic with a 5-1 victory. Meanwhile, I Like That also claimed a significant win with a score of 3-1 against Athletic Bone. In yet another close contest, Stourbridge Old Boys managed to clinch a 1-0 triumph over Blackheath Unathletic. 

Moving onto Division 1, Gangsters Allardyce beat Pique Blinders with a margin of 5-2, marking an exceptional start to their campaign. Graces All Stars managed to edge out Class On Grass with a 4-3 victory in a tightly contested match. Stourbridge Zebra also came out strong in their first outing, defeating Kewford Old Eagles 5-1. 

With the season just getting started, this thrilling first week has set the tone for an exciting season of competition. As teams prepare to compete in the upcoming fixtures, fans eagerly await the on-pitch action, hoping for more top-notch performances from their favorite teams and players.
