The title race took another turn as 2 Goals 1 Schlupp reduced the lead of Washing Machine down to just 1 point, beating Fatzio 6-1 to take full advantage of Fat Free Cottage Cheese's win over the league leaders.
Elsewhere there were good wins for ITEC and Christy Palace who edged a seven goal thriller in the second match on.
On a disappointing note, it has been reported that the level of dissent has increased of late and causing issues for the referees and other players at the league. Can teams be reminded that the referee's decision is final and is to be respected even where you may disagree with that decision.
Referees have the authority to treat dissent with moving a free kick forward 2 yards until the dissent stops, use of sin bins, yellow cards and red cards, with cards carrying bans and fines for offenders (or their captain if the fine is not paid). Let's try to play the game in the spirit that makes it enjoyable for players and officials.
