All teams were present as the new season of Stroud MNF kicked off in ideal football conditions, particularly for late January.
The opener began with last season's Wooden Spoon holders, Not a Kalou, getting off the mark straight away with a good 3-1 win over Borrusia Mönchenflapjack.
The second match of the night saw a hard-fought and entertaining 2-2 draw between ITEC and Christy Palace.
The game of the night, in the build-up at least, saw one of last season's new boys, Fat Free Cottage Cheese (complete with Angus, their manager on the touchline) complete a decisive 4-2 win over last season's runners-up, 2 Goals 1 Schlupp.
5 Star United followed that up with a good victory over PCL, finishing 4-1 and the night was rounded off with a very competitive and high-quality points match between 5 Star and the Champions, Washing Machine. Let's hope that is the sign of a competitive league at both ends of the table.
All matches were shown on Facebook Live as a start of more innovations for this season as we look to make this season the best in Stroud MNF.
There are spaces available for immediate start in the Premier Division as well as a new Division 1 and Football v Fat League.
