New Year, New Start
2019 at Stratford Park Leisure Centre got off to a great start with the Stroud Monday Night Football League returning with the best night of 6-a-side football around.
Premier Division
The first match of the season saw Dano Fc fail to attend and so Washing Machine benefited with a 5-0 win. Dano have assured us that they will be back next week.
MK Dongs then secured their own 5-0 win by virtue of defeating the points match.
The champions, 2 Girls 1 Schlupp, then started their title defence with a 4-1 win over second division champions, Who ate all depays?.
Second Division
The night kicked off with Hardly Athletic beating Virgin at the Back 21-1. As such, Hardly Athletic have taken up the points match space in the top division to preserve the competitiveness of the divisions.
Not a Kalou, the other relegated team, then defeated Vape FC, 4-0 to started their promotion push back to the top division.
The night ended with May Change securing a 5-0 win over their points match.
