The feeling was that spring has finally sprung as lighter evenings and better weather finally hits Stroud after the long winter. Maybe we shouldn't speak too soon though!
The football stayed competitive and suitable for all in Stroud's best 6-a-side league. The first competitive match of the night saw Not a Kalou return to winning ways against our newest team, Heavy Gang. Washing Machine followed that up with a 3-0 win against ITEC. This leaves them 4 points clear with 2 games to go. A point next week will secure back-to-back league titles.
Unfortunately the final league game of the night, between Cottage Cheese and Pique Blinders. Due to non-payment by Cottage Cheese, we have had to remove them from the league and the match was awarded to Pique Blinders.
Due to this, we have 3 spaces in the league and as such the league will finish early on 30 April and a new season start with an 8 team league on 14 May. If you want a place in the league, sign up at www.leisureleagues.net
