Stroud Sunday 6 aside league held at Stratford Park Leisure centre saw an exciting set of matches this past Sunday with all but two teams in attendance. The games were intense, and the audience was kept on the edge of their seats.
Unfortunately, Red Men FC could not make it to the league, but they informed the office with enough time to organise a fixture for their opponents. However, Shaggers and Baggers failed to notify the office of their absence, which caused some inconvenience for their opponents. The league management has taken notice of this and will be in contact with the team to ensure the issue is resolved for next week.
On the brighter side, the games that did take place had some great results. Burnley Boys had a fantastic 6-2 win against Law Abiding Sigurdssons. Six Offenders also secured a 4-2 win against S6, and Maradona Kebab won 3-1 against Sons of Pitches.
Leisure Leagues' Stroud Sunday 6 aside league still has two spaces remaining for any team or single player interested in joining the league. Those who are keen to join can sign up on the website.
Overall, it was a great day for football fans who came out in droves to watch their favorite teams battle it out on the pitch. The league promises even more exciting games in the coming weeks, so fans should brace themselves for more thrilling encounters.
