Another good evening of 7 aside football in our Biggleswade Wednesday league with all teams in attendance apart from Dynamo Shefford. We have spoken to their team manager and he has confirmed that it was a one off and the team will be back for this coming Wednesday.
We also had a red card issued to a player this week for abuse towards our referee following a slide tackle. Obviously we will not tolerate any abuse aimed at fellow players and especially our referees, so this player will now receive a permanent ban from Leisure leagues events.
In the thrilling world of local football, the Biggleswade Wednesday league reached its 13th week, with teams from both the Premier League and Division 1 showcasing their skills in a series of electrifying matches.
In the Premier League, the Bolton Squanderers dominated the field with an impressive 11 - 3 victory against Big Balls FC. The Squanderers displayed a tactical masterclass, displaying their superior offensive abilities and team dynamics. Meanwhile, the Goal Diggers also made their mark on the league with a decisive 6 - 1 win over The X Panda Balls. Rounding out the Premier League results, HBC Utd managed a respectable 5 - 2 win against Loose Fc.
Moving to Division 1, Fake Madrid faced a tough competition against Turd Dog FC, with the latter emerging victorious with a scoreline of 7 - 3. The Biggleswade Bruisers struggled to make a mark against Top Shaggers, succumbing to a 2 - 0 defeat.
As the league moves into the 14th and final week of the season, the teams are set to regroup and strategize for their upcoming matches. If the 13th week is any indication, we can look forward to more high-scoring games and edge-of-the-seat action in the Biggleswade Wednesday league.
