Swindon Thursday League Week 3: Spectacular Wins and Heartbreaking Ties

The week three of the Swindon Thursday 6-a-side Football League saw a series of thrilling matches across all divisions, with a number of spectacular wins and heartbreaking ties.

In Division 1, Lightwork displayed an outstanding performance, crushing DL Wanderers with a 7-1 victory. Six Offenders also turned heads, scoring an impressive 6-1 win against Wichelstowe Wanderers FC. However, the match between Noffin FC and Plough FC ended in a 2-2 tie, leaving both teams in an exciting standstill.

Moving on to Division 2, Unclarted and 1980's Legends had their fans on the edge of their seats with a tied game at 1-1. But it was Swindon Downs who stole the show, registering a colossal 8-0 win against FTS FC. Close matches were also observed between Puyol Pants Down and Barely Athletic, as well as Jamaican Jet-ski Police and Brexit Bosh, both ending in 1-1 draws.

In the Division 3 league, Leave My Arcelona narrowly edged out Cerney United with a 2-1 victory. RUES KRISPIES and Working Mens D gave spectators a nail-biting match, ending with RUES KRISPIES on top with a 3-2 win. The clash between Real FC and Swindon Toon saw Swindon Toon victorious with a 3-1 scoreline.

The top scorers in each division were as follows: Lightwork in Division 1, Swindon Downs in Division 2, and RUES KRISPIES in Division 3. Their performances this week have set a high bar for the rest of the season. With so much excitement and competition, the league promises a thrilling season ahead.
