In an explosive fourth week of the Swindon Thursday 6 a side football league, teams across Divisions 1, 2, and 3 brought their A-game, resulting in a thrilling spectacle of football.
In Division 1, Lordas FC stole the show with a staggering 19-1 victory against Savoy Athletic, securing their position at the top of the table. Noffin FC and Only Put Matip In delivered a tight contest, with Noffin FC clinching victory at 5-3. The game between Show Me The Mane and Plough FC ended in a 3-3 draw, whilst Sons of Pitches defeated North FC 3-1. Ridge FC and Old Town Langers played a high-scoring match with Ridge FC coming out on top at 6-4.
Over in Division 2, FC Mordedon showed their prowess defeating 1980's Legends 5-3. Games between DL Wanderers and Jamaican Jet-ski Police, as well as Wiggins Fc and Swindon Downs, ended in 1-1 draws. In another closely fought matchup, Brexit Bosh narrowly defeated Leave My Arcelona 5-4, while Swindon Park Rangers edged out Wichelstowe Wanderers FC 2-1.
Division 3 saw Haynes Beans securing a 2-0 victory over Puyol Pants Down. Pique Blinders defeated Real FC 5-3, and Dockle FC prevailed against RUES KRISPIES with a 5-4 score. Unclarted fell to Swindon Toon 1-3 in the final match of the division.
Although individual top scorers were not disclosed, it’s clear that Lordas FC, FC Mordedon, and Haynes Beans made significant strides with their victories this week.
