Swindon’s Thursday night football league is heating up with some thrilling match results as we reached week 8 of the season. The games played across Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 saw exciting performances with a blend of grit and skill.
In Division 1, 1980's Legends dominated the field, securing a 4-1 victory over Clifton FC. HSS Sports FC made a notable statement beating Swindon Warriors by an astonishing 17 goals to none. Bhuis Boys also showed their prowess, keeping a clean sheet against Swindon Mags in a 6-0 victory, while Redhouse and Unathletico Madrid ended their duel with a 2-2 draw. The top scorer for Division 1 was the goal machine from HSS Sports FC, whose name has unfortunately not been released.
In Division 2, Beercelona and Puyol Pants Down couldn't outdo each other, with the game ending in a 3-3 draw. The fixture between Wiggins FC and Hungry Higgos also ended in a 3-3 draw. Unclarted proved superior in their 4-2 triumph over Plough FC, and Oasis FC demonstrated their offensive strength with a 6-1 win over DL Wanderers, while Swindon Downs and PINEHURST FC couldn’t break the deadlock ending in a 0-0 stalemate. The top scorer in this division was from Oasis FC.
Division 3 was equally competitive. Borussia Dwarfmen couldn't manage their defence against Who Ate All Depays, resulting in a 1-3 loss. Wichelstowe Wanderers FC secured a 4-2 victory over FC De Workman. Schoolyard Skills lost to Haynes Beans 1-3, while Savoy Athletic were conquered 2-4 by Not Dat FC. The top scorer of Division 3 was from Wichelstowe Wanderers FC.
