TAMWORTH - The much-anticipated Tamworth Monday 6 a side Football league kicked off in spectacular fashion last night. Enthusiasm was at an all-time high as the brand new season welcomed a host of both old faces and new teams, all eager to make their mark in the Premier League and Division 1.

In the Premier League, Roys Rovers FC made an emphatic start, clinching a nail-biting victory with a score of 3-2 against the Bunch O Wannabees. Chicken Tika Taka also made their presence known by delivering a crushing defeat to Real Badrid, with a scoreline reading 4-1. Coldilicious AFC came out on top against Old Corntz, finishing at 5-1, while Matip In Diaz secured a hard-fought 2-1 win against Greenock Orton.

Over in Division 1, matches were every bit as intense. ABCDE FC claimed victory over TEMPLE CF with the scoreboard reading 2-1. Steak Bake FC edged past Yanited, managing to score the only goal of the match. Class On Grass proved their mettle with a 4-2 win against Red Army TFC. Murder On Zidanesfloor narrowly defeated Inter YaNan 3-2, while Memphis Creampie made a strong statement with a 5-2 victory over Keep It Simple.

This first week of the new season has certainly set the tempo and excitement for the games to come. With teams in both divisions showing determination and skill, the competition this season is shaping up to be fiercer than ever.
