Play in the Tamworth Wednesday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

Sports fans were treated to an exciting start to the Tamworth Wednesday 5-a-side football league last night, with action taking place across three divisions - The Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

In the Premier League, Balotellitubbies started the season off with a bang, dominating Back Stick FC with a resounding 10-1 victory. However, it was Arden Forest FC that grabbed the spotlight, overpowering Azetzio with a 5-1 scoreline to take the early lead in the division.

Division 1 saw a high-scoring thriller, as Beemer Dreamerz FC claimed an 8-3 victory over Villa Reserves FC. Elsewhere in the division, Madeline Milan fell short in a high octane contest against Tommys Victims, losing the game 6-8. The standout performance in this division undoubtedly belonged to Amigos who pulled off a stunning 9-3 win against Oldman Asthmatic.

In Division 2, THEO FC kicked off their campaign with an 11-6 victory over Inter Mivan. Despite a tense struggle, Bowen 747 succumbed to a 5-6 defeat against Petr Cech Shes 18. The evening concluded with an intense clash between Murder On Zidanes Floor and Madeline Milan, with the latter emerging victorious at 9-6.

While it's early days in the season, and all teams will be looking to build on their performances, the initial games have set the tone for what promises to be a fiercely competitive league.
