DAWLISH LEAD WITH ONE WEEK TO GO BEFORE CHRISTMAS

We had some pretty brutal weather across the country this week but our 6 a side teams in Teignmouth seemed to get away slightly lighter than other areas. It was still pretty cold on Tuesday night at The Community College when our 8 teams all turned up to play out week 3 of the season. It was the penultimate round of games before Christmas and two sides came away from match night with their 100% win records in tact. Dawlish lead with a superior goal difference having got the better of Old Dogs No Tricks 3 - 1, Charlie Muir on target with two while Aiden Tolley got one for Old Dogs who still look for their 1st win of the campaign. What Did You Say Then have made a positive start to their Leisure Leagues experience and find themselves 2nd having won all 3 of their games. This week they got past Paris Ganja Man 3 - 2 thanks to a Harry Baddams hattrick while Jack Hemingway and Ed Scott were on the scoresheet for PGM. Priors Preds and Future Stars played out an entertaining 2 - 2 draw. Morgan Favas netting both for Priors while Corey De Sousa and Charlie bagged one each for Future Stars. All Cider No Beer registered their 1st points of the season with an important 5 - 2 win against Dorsetshire Sauce, Robert Jenkins among the scorers with 2 for Cider to lift them out of the bottom two.

So just one game to go before Christmas and it we will more than likely have an outright leader going into the new year as the top two face each other on Tuesday night, definitely not one to miss before we have a week off and return on 3rd January.

It is often the case that we get a rush of teams in January, hopefully that will be the case and we can kick off the new division that is planned from 31st January. Any teams looking to be part of that can get in touch over Christmas to register their interest. Feel free to call Rob on 07538562547 to discuss of simply register your team for FREE on this link;

Fingers crossed for some warmer weather this week and we can sign off 2022 in style at Teignmouth 6 a side.
